Best fitness instructor Overall: Donna Wilczek at Be Fit NH Goffstown Donna Wilczek’s first career was in insurance claims. She had an office job where her health deteriorated; she was gaining weight and not feeling too good about it. She wanted to find a trainer to come to her home since she had no time to go to the gym. Finding no one, she started her second career as a fitness instructor. In 1999 she became certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and started bringing fitness to people to their homes. 305-1826, www.befitnh.com. |

The workout routines I prescribe as a Personal Trainer for my clients include a balance between flexibility, resistance and aerobic training. These three components complement each other to gain the most overall improvement in our bodies. I show you the correct way to perform the exercises and I update the routines often enough to keep it interesting and challenging. Working out doesn't have to feel like boot camp, it can be fun and still get results. You may have gym equipment at home, but do you know how to use it correctly without getting hurt and still get results? Have you tried it and given up thinking it was a waste of money? I'll show you how you can get the results you're looking for. Yes, there is a right way and a wrong way to exercise. You and I will determine your fitness and weight loss goals and together we will attain them. I'll start by assessing your current fitness and stamina for exercise and then create an INDIVIDUALIZED workout program for you. I'll keep track of your workout routines and be sure to keep them challenging and fun. I'll show up at your door for our one hour session and motivate you to workout. Some people need me with them every time they work out for both motivation and to be sure it's being done correctly. For them, two or three sessions with me per week is required. However, for those of you who are motivated, but need to learn how to get a good workout with your equipment or from your gym membership, once per week for three weeks, followed by monthly then bi-monthly visits from me will be fine. Everyones needs are different and I'm there to meet all of them. We always want to workout in a balanced and wholistic way - so never forget to warm-up, stretch, train aerobically and train using resistance. We may also decide to put some balance training and some 'core' specific training in your routine too. It all depends on your needs... IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU! Please read the article in my blog, "The Many Benefits of Being Active" for more information. Give me a call, or send me an email to discuss how I can help you! |

"Donna is a wealth of knowledge about fitness, health and nutrition. I did not want to go to a gym and Donna was just what I needed. She takes away all of your excuses for not exercising and getting healthy. I have been working with Donna since January and I am reaching my fitness goals for the first time in my life (I'm 53!). Donna also provides plenty of coaching on diet, books to read and overall wellness that I find very helpful. She is a real pro and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to increase their level of physical fitness and overall wellbeing. She has made a huge difference in my life!" - Nancy Kane "I had the pleasure of working with Donna over the past four years. Prior to this, I had tried to get into shape many different times, but never stayed with a program for more than a year. She devised an appropriate exercise program for me at that time, and revised it many times over the years as my conditioning improved, and to keep my mind and muscles from becoming “bored”! Donna is extremely knowledgeable about exercise and nutrition. She has helped me institute a much healthier lifestyle. I feel wonderful, have dropped two clothing sizes, increased my strength and improved my golf game! A recent relocation out of state prohibits me from continuing to work with Donna, but she has instilled in me the need to be healthy and “feel great”. I will be looking for a local trainer who hopefully will continue in her footsteps. She will not be easy to replace!" - Nadine Bothwell "It has been an extremely rewarding experience working with Donna Wilczek as my personal trainer for over four years. She has incorporated exercise and nutrition into a program for me that have become a part of my lifestyle. The results have been successful. When I began to experience some health problems, Donna was instrumental in pointing me in the right direction for a diagnosis. Her knowledge and resources were invaluable to me in effecting a cure. A recent move has prevented me from working with Donna any longer. However, she still remains available to me for consultation. Her devotion and professionalism are hard to beat!" - Danielle Scott Want to experience what my clients already have? Contact me today! |

Before I became certified in 1999, I spent the previous fifteen years sitting at a desk. I began spending more and more time working and less and less time keeping my body active and fit. In the early years, I still had time after work to play tennis or go to the beach or gym and keep active, but as my work responsibilities increased, I lost that time. I had always been active and participated in sports right through college and I tried my best to remain active on weekends and by taking active vacations, but the pounds crept on anyway and soon I was 3 sizes larger than I am now and so lethargic, I didn't want to do anything anymore. At one point during those years I sought out the help of a personal trainer. Finding no one available to come to my home and not having the time to go to the gym, I contacted Steve Ilg, owner of Wholistic Fitness and author of "The Outdoor Athlete" and "Total Body Transformation". He put me on a workout regimen that I followed at home, and I got amazing results. This was my introduction to the personal training business, but more importantly I learned that to get results from exercise it had to be conducted the 'correct' way. I became certified in 1999 through the NSCA, one of the best certifying organizations there is. I was required to take courses, study independently and take a grueling exam (for someone out of school for 16 years anyway) and in each three year period I'm required to take 12 continuing education credits. I choose courses by determining what's new in the fitness industry in order to keep up to date. I'm also a Committee Member and active participant of the Fitness Professionals Association of New Hampshire. Additionally, I'm fully insured and certified in CPR for your protection. My interests, past and present include: hiking, off road mountain biking, kayaking, roller blading, tennis, wind surfing, single shell rowing, motorcycle riding, jet skiing, sporting clays (2002 NH Lady Champion), pistol target shooting and billiards. I've been married to Tom for 17 years and I have two rhodesian ridgebacks, Zari is 2 and Sasha is 1 1/2. I had a retired racing greyhound named Pharaoh for 7 1/2 years. I would highly recommend a rescue grey to anyone, they are wonderful, sensitive animals. I'm your In-Home Personal Trainer and I'm here to help you get results and transform your body into something you'll love. Click here to get in touch with me. Just so you realize, once your body is on its way to a positive change - YOUR MIND WILL FOLLOW

About the National Strength and Conditioning Association
The NSCA is an International non profit educational association founded in 1978, currently serving 33,000 members in 56 countries. Drawing upon it's vast network of members, the NSCA develops and presents the most advanced information regarding strength training and conditioning practices, injury prevention, and research findings. When I decided to become certified as a personal trainer I conducted research to determine which, of the many certifying organizations available, was the most up to date and advanced in the field. The NSCA's credentials far outweighed any of the others. As a certified member I am required to complete 12 continuing education credits, become certified in CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) every three years. I am also granted access to up to the minute research in sports science, athletics, allied health and fitness industries. The NSCA's mission statement is: "As the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, we support and disseminate research based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness." |
